QuickStock FAQ

Everything you need to know about inventory management.

Does QuickStock work offline?

Yes! QuickStock is designed to work fully offline. You can:

  • Add new items and take photos
  • Edit existing inventory
  • Record sales and mark items as sold
  • Scan QR codes for quick lookup
  • Generate on-device reports

All changes are stored locally and automatically sync when you reconnect to the internet. This makes QuickStock perfect for flea markets, estate sales, and anywhere with unreliable connectivity.

How does syncing work?

QuickStock uses intelligent background sync:

  • Automatic Sync - Changes sync automatically when you're online
  • Conflict Resolution - If the same item is edited on multiple devices, QuickStock keeps the most recent change and notifies you
  • Selective Sync - Photos sync on Wi-Fi by default to save mobile data
  • Status Indicator - A sync icon shows your current sync status

You can also manually trigger a sync by pulling down on the inventory list or tapping the sync button.

What export formats are available?

QuickStock supports three export formats:

  • CSV - Compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and most spreadsheet applications. Includes all item data fields.
  • PDF - Print-ready reports with formatting. Great for inventory counts, sales reports, and insurance documentation.
  • JSON - Full data export for developers and API integrations. Includes all metadata and relationships.

You can export your entire inventory or filter by date range, category, location, or status (sold, available, etc.).

How many photos can I add per item?

Photo limits depend on your plan:

  • Free Trial - Up to 3 photos per item
  • Monthly/Annual Plan - Up to 10 photos per item

Photos are automatically compressed for storage efficiency while maintaining quality for display. Original resolution photos are available for download if needed.

Tip: For collectibles and antiques, we recommend photographing front, back, any damage, and maker's marks or labels.

Can I import existing inventory?

Yes! You can import inventory from:

  • CSV/Excel - Upload a spreadsheet with your items. We'll map columns automatically.
  • Other Inventory Apps - Export from your current system and import the CSV.
  • QuickStock Backup - Restore from a previous JSON export.

Our import wizard helps you match columns from your spreadsheet to QuickStock fields, and you can preview before confirming the import.

How does the QR code feature work?

QuickStock includes powerful QR code features:

  • Generate QR Codes - Create printable QR code labels for any item
  • Scan to Look Up - Point your camera at a QR code to instantly pull up the item
  • Quick Checkout - Scan items to add them to a sale in seconds
  • Batch Print - Print multiple QR labels at once for labeling inventory

QR codes work offline too—no internet needed to scan and retrieve item information.

Is there a limit on the number of items?

Item limits by plan:

  • Free Trial (30 days) - Up to 100 items
  • Monthly/Annual Plan - Unlimited items

Sold items don't count toward your limit—only active inventory. You can archive or delete old items anytime to manage your inventory size.

Can multiple people use the same account?

Yes! QuickStock supports multi-user access for businesses and teams:

  • Single Account - Sign in on multiple devices with the same account
  • Real-time Sync - Changes from one device appear on others within seconds
  • Sale Attribution - Track which device/user made each sale
